what music does to help other parts of the media industry

The news in the morning has a soundtune that everyone who watches the news becomes familiar with. This is the music industry working as a way of making people feel when they hear that sound it time to start their day.

Films is the place where music is used to sell and get it heard by a vast audience and to also get people more interested into a film. Music also works the same in soaps and on shows. An example of this for me when it was like a soundbridge that carried on from one film onto the following, the film tune for Breaking Dawn Twilight part one and part two. Cristina Perris song ' A Thousand Years' she first sang it in the first Breaking Dawn part one and when the song came on in the second one just released in Novemeber the whole cinama started to sing in unison. This is a way of the two types of media supporting and connecting between music and film. This is a smart move for a musician to take a very popular movie and put their song as the tune for the film.

Adverts work the same with the music the music companies get money from the adverts using their theme tunes or their music. A great example of this is Christmas time. During christmas time the shops and other high street stores like next and sainsburys all put classic Christmas tunes on their adverts to help boost sales. This makes money for the music company and the music creates feelings of happiness for the audience intising them into buying the good making them money aswell.
