Progress Review Blog

Looking back at my blog entries, I feel they were pretty successful in terms of detailed research, planning and construction regarding our music video. In every blog entry it was extremely crucial to bear in mind the genre of our music and to not get side tracked. Therefore, my research would involve looking at artists of a similar genre. So far I am happy with my individual blogging, I feel as though I am blogging frequently on my ideas regarding the music video as they keep changing. To do this, several technologies other than Blogger had been used to blog for e.g. Prezi which I had done the pitch on, Youtube which I used to attach influential videos on and Photobucket to collate images of filming. The targets I have set myself involve blogging regularly which I am quite pleased about as I have been doing so.

The blog post that I am most proud of would have to be the summary I did on Laura Mulvey. After reading about her I had realised that her quote is 100% true!!!! I really liked this about her and enjoyed summarizing it. After having watched multiple videos, her quote made a lot of sense as there were dismembered women were all over the place and men in full clothing. On the contrary, the blog post that I'd put more time and effort into would have to be the analysis of the best example of the music video form. This is most probably because I really like that music video and I could have done more analysis on it and added certain features it included onto our own music video for e.g. a strong message throughout the video.
