In class today we were given the task of reproducing a CD and advert. We were given photos and templates of a CD album. This was my first time using Adobe Photoshop Elements and although I found it extremely tricky to use I managed to produce a CD album cover and advert. I found this lesson extremely beneficial as it not only made me a tad familiar with the software but it will extremely help when it comes to making my didgipak as it is good practice! I got familiar with the layers, used the Magic Wand Tool and explored the different font types that Adobe had to offer. When it came to the end of reproducing this CD cover and advert, I had come to realize that the font and background was far too feminine for the artist. Also the edges of the artist's shoulder was not smooth due to the background being of a similar colour to the outfit he had on. Although I am not a Photoshop Pro YET, this will only help me improve and be extra cautious when it comes to making the actual digipak. Below is the CD cover and advert:
