A Trip To HMV

After making the mock up of my album, I felt I needed extra inspiration and research on how artists use designs and patterns to make a album look feminine and glam. Therefore I took a little trip to HMV. Having looked at artists to a similar genre to ours I had come to the realisation that not a lot of current female artists use floral patterns and I had not seen any that use baroque designs either. I had seen that most artists like (Kesha's album-see below) use bright, playful colours and have abstract art.  However, it has made me want to use baroque designs even more as I feel it would reinforce the glam idea very well. Moreover, I will want to use or chosen colour 'purple' to make it look ultra feminine and young. I really liked Kanye West and JayZ's album (below) as their cover was art based. Even thought they had no images of themselves, the gold colour emphasized the quality of it.
