Progress Review

So far, I think my blogging has been going well but that there is much room for improvement. Overall, I think I need to start blogging much more individually; I have done a lot of 'research' blogs, where I watch and anaylse other music videos I have seen and liked, but I think that keeping the blog up to date with what we are doing in the actual construction stages of the music video could have been much more frequent.

I think that I also need to use a wider variety of types of media instead of constantly only using normal images and text. We have only done a few group vlogs so I could definitely start vlogging by myself, to keep up to date. (We do, also, have some vlogs on set that still need to be uploaded). I have around 60 blogs so far, most of which are group tasks so, again, that could definitely be improved.

My favourite blog post was the analysis of Rita Ora's music video Hot Right Now because it was one of those blogs that ended up being really helpful. We liked the use of jump cuts between the dancers and it gave us more of a definite idea of the shots we wanted to create. That video also ended up being quite similiar to how we wanted our one to end up, so it researching into that was very helpful for us in the end.

I think I could have put more effort into the analysis of Rudimental's video Not Giving In. I really like the video, which was why I wanted to blog about it, but at the time we were very rushed so I didn't get to go into as much depth as I liked. That video, however, was a good example of how effective slow motion can be when used well.
