After researching digipaks I had come across a few that caught my eye. For example I found the art on Alicia Keys - Element Of Freedom's album extra appealing. This is because of how creative it looked and how the colours complemented one another. After spotting this album cover I instantly knew I wanted to do something that involved using a pattern that looked quite feminine. Keyshia Cole's - A Different Me was much simpler but the swirls gave it that feminine look to it and is something I want to incorporate into my digipak. In our Home Run video, Robyn J has a 'glam look' and a 'street look'. I liked how we implemented two looks into a video however, for my digipak, I want to focus on the 'glam' look and the feminine side of things mostly because the original concept of everything was based on the idea of female empowerment and I feel swirls and other floral designs will help me achieve the look I want. Most importantly, the femininity of it will attract our audience which is young girls as they would relate to it and be attracted to it. Both these albums have inspired me to do so and therefore I will specifically look at 'Baroque' designs that I particularly like as I feel it has the glam factor!
Below is Cheryl Cole's - 3 Words album cover. I especially like this cover as I found the font extra appealing. It has swirls within each letter and is the kind of style I would want my font to be. This will also help to achieve the look I desire. Also, the colour being quite dark and dull does not take away the femininity side of it which reminds me of Beyonce's - I Am Sasha Fierce album that I had analyzed. This is something that I will take into consideration when doing my own digipak as I love how it can look glam without colour.
Below are two albums where the images are of the artist looking over their shoulder. I particularly like this kind of shot and would want a similar shot in my digipak.
