Analysis of Previous Student's Work

This was my favourite music video from the students last year. I think, overall, it was just very strong. The setting and props they used captured the indie/pop genre of the music perfectly, as did the mis en scene. I liked their use of lighting, with both the strobe lights and the use of projection behind. There were some vary strong base tracks to flick between. The stronger shots were the ones in the woods at night because the lighting was very controlled in comparison to the day shots were they were reliant on day lighting. The editing was also very strong. I liked the way that the cutting between each shots increased with tempo of the music but that there was a distinct pattern whenever it came back to the chorus.
