Since this song we picked already has a video for it, we tend on making ours different. This is by making most of our locations outside as hers was all studio based.
Remembering intertextuality from AS, I'm thinking that maybe we can also bring this in with our music video. Using similar shots/mise en scene from other artists that would make sense with our music video.
For example, in Cheryl Cole's video the whole underground tunnel setting and then the back view of her I would like us to use this kind of shot.
And then because we choose to show our artist as a solo-independent woman of class so I'm thinking maybe a shot being taken in a car just showing her independence.
With location, in order to make ours difference we really need to step out the box since hers is all studio based but with special effects. So we could have more of outside locations.
-Graffiti walls would look good with our song choice. Its urban, a lot of dancing goes with it so this seems like a suitable location for the video
I'm also hoping that in terms of editing ours will be able to differ as I can see our video being able to look extra good if we had some sort of split screens on one big screen. Just an idea I'm hoping may be successful.
