Analysing 3 music videos

The three music videos below have in one way or the other influenced the decisions of ideas for our music video. Some of them will be adapted and used in the production of the video in the areas of camera, editing and mise en scene.

1. Cheryl Cole- Call my name

In planing what types of shots to use in the beginning and costumes, this is where we got most of the ideas from.
The close up of her shoes is a shot we are adapting with our artist and the other shot of the back of her walking down the tunnel. These two shots definitely fit in with our music video. Especially because our location and where she is situated in these scenes are  alike.

In terms of costume we are kind of adopting this kind of style in one of our base tracks for the artist. Once again this fits in with our location and our song as it is upbeat and a lot of dancing will be done.

2. Beyonce- Countdown

When looking at this video I think the editing is what was really influential, the pace of it (didn't even realise she was pregnant). It was really fast at some points then the split screens is something that I'm really hoping we will be able to pull it off maybe not as good as Beyonce but along them lines. Here are a few screen shots that I really liked.

3. Brandy- Put it down

Brandy uses great types of background/mise en scene. I want us to use the green screen and this is something she uses too.

Her close up shots in this video are really nice! I hope to be able to do this in my video.
