3 videos that have influenced planning for our video

RUN THE WORLD-BEYONCE

This video beyonce we run the world above inspired me with our video in mind because its based around a young powerful women and we see similarites between the two the screen grabs above showing simlar shots to the Misha b video. Beyonce is centre stage with male dancers around her as she grinds to the floor much like Misha b in her video. This video is a dance video that tells us a story about a very independant and in charge women which is the feeling we want to come across from our corsework . The long shots on the right of Beyonce dancing we also see in the original Misha video and we dont want to mimick these shots or dance moves but the moves have helped to inspire us with our own dance routine.

HIPS DONT LIE-SHAKIRA

This video 'My hips don't lie by' Shakira inspired me in personally because of the presence she has with the stage. Shakira is a dominant and confident women which is exactly how we wanted our performer Robin jay to come across. Shakira dominates the stage with her female empowering essence

SAY MY NAME-CHERYL COLE

we used quite a bit of intertextuality with Cheryl Cole's video call my name. We used the shots of her feet in our video we used the idea of the tunnel and they graffiti to make it stand out and differ from the original video. The establishing shots of Cheryl's video made an impact on us because it allows us to see where they are clearly and gives the video that urban feeling. Our costume was also extremely inspired by this song. We have a separate blog that goes into detail about how the outfits within this video that inspired us .
