Skills Development
Although editing is my weakest point, I had acquired a few editing skills whilst assisting one of our group member who was editing. Last year was different, as it was a thriller there were only certain shots we had to take. However, this year we had to film the whole song in different shots and locations; a base track. This was so when it came to editing (using Final Cut), we would just cut between them. This year it was vital that we perfected the lip synching in order for it to look like a real music video. To do this, we selected a word from the song and matched it to the base tracks which made it easier to edit. Also, as Home Run is a very fast paced song we had to make substantial cuts bearing in mind that it had to match with the beat!
